The SF State Guardian Scholars Program (GSP) was started in 2005 to help address the needs of former foster care youth in college. The program provides current and former foster youth with year-round on-campus housing (the first in the country to do so), intensive clinical case management, mentorship and career development support, internship opportunities, unlimited therapy services, as well as leadership opportunities.
