Riannan was in foster care for a year before returning to her mother. She has undergone a lot of trauma and has had a lot of health problems as a result. She gets teased at school a lot because of her health conditions and has had to start a new school this year on top of everything. She is very strong and patient and has a lot of hope that she will make new friends, but it is a scary time. She is looking forward to her new apartment where she can live peacefully with her mom more than anything else.

Riannan has returned to her mom from foster care, but she and mom still live with her aunt. Mom has not ever had a place of her own and so she has no furniture. As they move into their own apartment for the first time, Riannan has asked for a new dresser of her very own to keep her things in, just like she had when she was in foster care.
