Randy is a junior college transfer and has gone through a lot. The Foster care system gave him the opportunity to have a better life. If he would have stayed in the care of his biological parents, he says doesn't know where he would be. From juvenile hall, to foster homes and group homes, his experiences in foster care make him who he is. His foster care experience gave him a second chance to get things right in life. His foster care experience surrounded him with friends, family, and mentors, who want to see him succeed. Foster care was a learning experience that was both good and bad, which allowed Randy to grow and become resilient.

Randy is wishing for funds to help him purchase a plane ticket so that he can spend the holiday with his son who lives out of state. It has been a long time since father and son have shared a holiday together and though they stay in touch via face time, REAL face time would mean the world to them both.
