Lyndon came into care with our agency when he was a newborn. Lyndon spent one month in the hospital after birth so that the doctors could wean him off of the drugs that he was born addicted to. Lyndon has been in his current foster home since he was a month old. Lyndon just turned 2 years old in September. Lyndon has always been an active baby, and as soon as he started walking, he was running around everywhere, trying to keep up with his older brother (5 years old) who also lives in the foster home. As Lyndon gets older, we have noticed hat he seems to have a lot of sensory issues. Lyndon works with EI services who have taught the foster parent some ways to help soothe him when he gets out of control and to help calm him down. One suggestion was to use a weighted blanket to help calm him.

Lyndon and his foster mother have been working regularly with Early Intervention services to deal with Lyndon's new behaviors as he gets older. Lyndon has been throwing things everywhere as well as screaming at the top of his lungs for no particular reason. Early Intervention has suggested hat he has numerous sensory issues and have been working with the foster parent on ways to help calm him. One thing that has been working is using a weighted blanket that the foster mother was able to borrow temporarily. We'd love for Lyndon to have a blanket of his own to use when he needs to calm down.
