Saveon came into DSS custody this year after his mother died of long term health and addiction issues. Saveon has had a rough life with little to no adult supervision but, he has a very infectious smile and a wonderful sense of humor. He loves sports especially baseball and is responding extremely well to a stable two parent foster home. He is intellectually disabled and yet he is performing at school and learning by leaps and bounds. Saveon would like to get a job after high school. He has expressed an interest in being a counselor for children or working in a rehab center.

Saveon is in 10th grade and has been placed in a special needs school. The school uses a computer system which allows the student to access their homework and remedial work from home. DSS will not provide a computer for his use and the foster parents do not have a computer and will not provide one. I contacted the school to confirm the need and they did in fact say that the computer system access from home is used and would be beneficial to the student. Saveon is motivated to stay ahead of his work load and would like to be able to do the remedial work that would help him keep up with his classmates. His hope is to truly exceed in his classes at this new school.
