DeShawn and his brothers have been separated from their parents for the last few years and are under the guardianship of their foster mom. Their placement has been filled with many positive changes. That helps since DeShawn is autistic, like one of his older brothers, but more verbal even if trouble communicating. The stable placement helps him gain new learning skills. However, DeShawn has been struggling with having so many different aids at school. At times, he only feels safe and calm with his foster mom or being around his brothers. But he absolutely loves being outdoors and loves to play with his scooter, football, and basketball. His foster mom is so proud of how far he's come and has a lot of hope for him as he grows up.

DeShawn is a busy little kiddo, playing and running and doing his best to get into everything! His shoes are wearing out fast, especially since DeShawn's autism has him walking either up on the balls of his feet or toes. A new pair of shoes that are easy to put on and take off and are durable for him to run around in safely would be helpful for his foster mom. She is having keeping up with inflation and three kiddos who keep growing, growing, growing!
