Skyler misses her family a lot while in foster care and only gets to see them once a week for a couple of hours. She recently asked if she could have an instant film camera and memory book to take pictures during her family visits and look back at them throughout the week. Skyler is very protective of her family and feels happiest when everyone is together. A Fujifilm camera will give her connection, reassurance, and happy memories to look back on.
Skylar is 13 years old and lives in GA
Skylar is the oldest of five sisters who recently entered foster care. As the oldest, Skylar has been the caretaker of her four younger sisters and is mature far beyond her years. Skylar's foster family hopes that with time, Skylar will begin to heal and have a chance to experience childhood and receive nurture and love from healthy adults. Skylar loves all things pink and sparkly, watching Youtube and Hannah Montana, and doing arts and crafts.
