Skylar recently entered foster care with just one pair of shoes. She has asked for a pair of warm boots that look like the shoes her friend's wear. These boots will be perfect for the cold weather and will help her feel confident around her peers. A durable pair of boots will help with long days of learning and play.
Skylar is 13 years old and lives in GA
Skylar is the oldest of five sisters who recently entered foster care. As the oldest, Skylar has been the caretaker of her four younger sisters and is mature far beyond her years. Skylar's foster family hopes that with time, Skylar will begin to heal and have a chance to experience childhood and receive nurture and love from healthy adults. Skylar loves all things pink and sparkly, watching Youtube and Hannah Montana, and doing arts and crafts.
