Nicole has a love for volleyball and art. She also helps her mom vend tamales, pupusas and soups. She has been a great source of strength for her mom during times when she’s been harassed by city officials and their landlord over the vending activity. Nicole is very concerned that she might not only lose her home but that her parents might be deported. Nicole's mental health has been negatively impacted, and she relies on her hobbies to help her process her anxiety and depression.

Nicole's favorite activities are sports and art. She and her family have experienced a challenging year due to her mom battling cancer and the threat of eviction. She has used art to process and express her emotions. New art supplies will offer her a continued sense of comfort during the turbulent times her family is currently facing.
