Groceries for Jeremiah who recently transitioned to his own apartment
Jeremiah, 21 years old
Wish submitted by:
Court Appointed Special AdvocatesJeremiah is an incredible young man who is currently transitioning into independent living. Though foster care was tough on Jeremiah, he remained hopeful. He has now secured his first apartment and job and intends to return to college to continue his education after saving up a little more. He would like to become a sound engineer - music has always been his passion and has helped him get through so much in life.
Jeremiah recently transitioned into his own apartment and is requesting a gift card to purchase groceries. He has applied for public assistance and food stamps (EBT) but was denied. He's working on submitting a new application that is completed correctly so he can get the EBT but until then, Jeremiah is struggling to pay for food in addition to the other expenses in his life. He recently completed a security guard certificate program and has located jobs that are hiring but the certification takes 4-6 weeks to be processed so he is not eligible for those positions yet. In the meantime, he continues to apply to other jobs. Receiving a gift card would ensure that Jeremiah is able to have food until he is able to get additional funds.
