Jojo has been on the forefront of advocating for foster youth for over 20 years. She has spoken on behalf of and in front of thousands of people with the goal of positively impacting the foster community. Jojo is the founder and director of the brand-new non-profit Awakening Giantz Inc. which supports former foster youth as they are entering into adulthood. Although they are new, the impact they have already made on their members is enormous.

Jojo grew up in foster care and has dedicated her adult life to building up foster youth in her community. She has been a bright light and role model for so many young people who look to her and see hope, something she always wished she had as a young woman in care. She has a dream to attend the Women of Silicon Valley Conference so that she can continue to expand the reach of her nonprofit, however, the fees are not currently within reach for Jojo. $1,400 will provide Jojo with the opportunity to attend this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for her as a female-owned and operated nonprofit.
