Foster Nation is an auxiliary group of Foster Care Counts that works to rally millennials and young leaders to champion the foster care cause. Our mission is to raise awareness of the foster care system nationally by building a brand and a platform around which current and former foster youth can speak up about their experiences and share their identities to empower other foster youth. Our fundraising strategy is centered around raising awareness of the foster care system in order to amplify the reach of our work as we aim to launch a mentorship/role model program that connects mentors to high school foster youth. We just recently launched a social media campaign called the #SpeakUp Series profiling foster youth around the country so that they feel like they have a voice to share their experiences.
